Vehicle Bankman Course

Vehicle Bankman Course

This Banksman course also referred to as a Traffic Marshal Ticket/ Traffic Marshal Course is designed to help you avoid accidents when performing large vehicle manoeuvres. The course includes demonstrations of the signals employed by banksmen (or traffic marshals) throughout the United Kingdom and Europe and guidance on how to meet legislations such as the Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996 and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, employers have a responsibility to ensure that all workers who are required to direct vehicle movements are suitably trained and have the relevant banksman certification.

The banksman signals must always be used when directing vehicles, whether they are cranes, cars, HGVs, or any other type of vehicle.

Failure to comply with these legal training obligations could result in prosecution.

By completing this Traffic Marshal course, you will have a strong understanding of how to safely control traffic while carrying out manoeuvres and an awareness of the associated legislation. This will make you an asset to any company that utilises large vehicles on their premises.

This Traffic Marshal Banksman Course is an essential ticket for anyone working in construction, security, manufacturing, hospitality, parking enforcement, or anyone responsible for loading, unloading, and movement of vehicles.

The training is ideal for anyone who may take instruction from banksmen including delivery drivers, crane operators, site operators, and contractors so that the safe movement of vehicles and lifting operations can be achieved on-site.
